EXCURSION LTC – LOW TEMPERATURE CONVERSION<\/h3>\n

No CO\u2082 is produced during the entire process, as carbon is bound in the gas and subsequently broken down rather than burned. A major advantage is the broad applicability of the LTC process to a wide variety of input materials that are regionally available, do not require decentralized processing, and do not cause problems with regard to their disposal.<\/p>\n

ACA technology<\/h3>\n

In a long-term research cooperation between AGT and the elite University of St. Andrews, it has been possible to develop the world’s first environmentally friendly and at the same time economically feasible process for the production of high-quality carbon products.<\/p>\n

Following LTC technology, this also is a thermo-catalytic process for cracking methane and CO\u2082. Common production methods for manufacturing carbon nanotubes or graphene require extremely high temperatures – ergo a lot of energy – and can be processed mainly through the utiziation of fossil raw materials such as graphite, coal or natural gas. This leads to extremely high production costs in some cases, making widespread use of these high-tech materials impossible. Furthermore, the environment is additionally burdened due to high energy and material input.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
